Fireworks Over Baker Park marks Frederick's 250th birthday
Frederick artist Yontz celebrates the city anniversary with a nighttime watercolor titled So Proudly We Hail Fireworks Over Baker Park. The piece blends Clustered Spires, modern street lamps, and a mid night sky, created after gallery owner Jim Kehoe proposed a 250th logo inspired scene. Yontz, a Frederick native and Lisbon postmaster, paints about two new works yearly and promotes prints and notecards through Antietam Gallery. The limited run will be available at the gallery with an open house on June 17, priced 240 to 340 dollars.
