Goodwill Recycles People and Products at Local Plant
Five trainees in the Goodwill Industries of the Monocacy Valley program work at the East Church Street plant turning rags into bale stock and operating a bailer while learning industrial skills. The venture funds trainees at low wages, aims to hire more handicapped workers, and includes an “As Is” shop and a new board room with plans for $6,000 in laundry equipment and safety oversight.
