A 13 year old Arlington Virginia Boy Scout remained in critical condition in the Frederick Memorial Hospital ICU after being accidentally shot in the right side with a .22 rifle during a bottle and can target practice. The bullet passed through the body and lodged beneath the left arm. The injured teen was flown from Baltimore for emergency surgery. doctors said the heart was not hit. The incident is described by his father as a freak accident due to carelessness by another 12 year old Scout from Troop 117 who fired while the targets were being reset.

Seven murdered in Detroit narcotics pad
