Voters flock to polls in city election with fourteen names
Voters filled the polls in Frederick for a municipal election with only fourteen names on the ballot. Polls opened at eight and closed at six, eight precincts in use, heavy party activity reported and early returns expected by nine o’clock. The ballot allows a full ticket with one mark voting the entire slate. Precinct locations listed from South Market to North Market streets. The toll centers on boating parties at City Island with additional deaths found as transfers caused duplicates in morgue lists from New Jersey to Connecticut. Mrs Doris Branen widow of circus owner John T Branen is under arrest in Mt Holly New Jersey on murder charges in his March 10 shooting death. Police say she was arrested on information from other suspects. two co defendants Harry Mohr and Charles Powell are also jailed with Powell confessing to the shooting. Branen known as Honest John was killed with a shotgun as he read in Riv erside New Jersey. the investigation and arrest details remain incomplete.

Autos Collide At Market And Church Streets
A two-vehicle crash at Market and Church streets shortly before 1:34 pm damaged both cars. An Autocar from Frederick Brick Works driven by John Davis and passenger John Thompson struck a Chevrolet truck from Cramer's Palace of Music driven by S A Bostian as a trolley obscured the view. The Chevrolet sustained major damage to bumper, wheel, and windshield. the Autocar suffered minor damage including a broken arm used for dumping bricks. State Policeman Raymond Fichoitz investigated.

A jury under Justice J. Grahame Johnson ruled the Lewistown crash fatal and unavoidable. Glenwood Rice eight died after a Sunday collision with a W. W. Wolfe machine driven by William A.
