Graduation speakers urge lifelong learning at 421 seniors
Dr. James A. Sensenbaugh warned the 421 Frederick County High School seniors that adult education will dominate the public school system and staying educated will prevent them from becoming misfits. The ceremony in the gym featured new seating arrangements, student speakers Richard Thomas Clapp and Lynne Faith Howard, musical performances, and diplomas presented by Warren C. Smith.

Assistant Administrators Named for Frederick Memorial Hospital
Gerald R. Sauter will become assistant administrator of Frederick Memorial Hospital on July 1, announced by P. David Youngdahl. Sauter, an administrative resident, will receive his master’s in hospital administration this Saturday at the University of Minnesota. James Ross Stephan will replace him, arriving June 22 to begin July 1, with his father James W. Stephan slated as administrative resident for 1964-65. Stephan studied at Gustavus Adolphus College and Washburn High School, while Sauter holds a 1958 Bachelors in Agriculture in Business Administration from Minnesota and graduates this weekend with a master’s in hospital administration. He was a top student and held multiple honor society memberships and leadership roles. Stephan has worked at St Barnabas Hospital, Fairview Hospital, and the Minneapolis Association for Retarded Children.

Westminster Maryland AP. Trial Magistrate G Norman Hunter 61 died at home after a heart attack. A Carroll County magistrate since 1960 he was prominent in Maryland harness racing and served as a state tracks judge 1950 54. He and his wife Mary Malcolm Hunter had two sons George N Hunter of Reistertown and Thomas M Hunter of Wilmington.
