Fairchild fires second official in board shakeup

Hagerstown Joe 8 (P) A Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corp official, A F Flood, is dismissed as assistant comptroller for aligning with a slate of new directors proposed by Sherman Fairchild. Board chairman J Carlton Ward Jr said Flood agreed to back the new slate and that Richard S Boutelle was removed as general manager and backer of Fairchild. Boutelle denied wrongdoing and Flood said he disagreed with top management. A testimonial party for Boutelle is planned at Hagerstown airport. Delegates named for Maryland Young Republican fight for national recognition in Salt Lake City with nine delegates chosen by the federation.
