Elizabeth M. Anders, 19, of Frederick won Maryland in the fourth annual High School Recipe Contest by Johnson & Wales University. She entered Marbled Nut Bread and Strawberry Chiffon Shells, earned a $1,000 renewable tuition scholarship, and will attend Johnson & Wales for accelerated study this summer and fall. Anders aims for a culinary arts bachelor’s degree and an associate in baking and pastry, plans to work in a restaurant, and someday own a restaurant or bed and breakfast.
