Dead mother's survivors win $13 million malpractice
In Baltimore, the husband and three children of Julia A. Rose will receive more than $13 million over their lifetimes from a medical malpractice settlement. Rose died after a Caesarean delivery and coma beginning in 1985, with plaintiffs alleging negligent care by several doctors and a hospital. The settlement, approved by the Baltimore Client Court, provides a lump sum and tax free annuity payments to her husband Richard Rose and their three daughters, Lisa and the twins Christina and Lori.
