Woodsboro to end livestock auctions in Woodsboro
Area farmers will lose one place to sell livestock in August with the closing of the Woodsboro Livestock Sales site. The Tuesday auction barn off Md. 194 will hold its last livestock sale Tuesday July 26. Auctioneer Robert Meunier said livestock has been sold at the site since 1949. The merchandise auctions will continue in the morning at 8:30 a.m., with livestock auctions starting around noon.
