Rippeon to Manage New Shipley Store in Mall
Shipley's Inc will open a Frederick Towne Mall branch in spring 1972 with Gene A. Rippeon as manager of the new sporting goods store. Rippeon, a 1957 Frederick High School graduate, leads the downtown sports department and has served in Optimist clubs, Little League, and local football. The mall store will focus on sporting goods with a modern interior and top brands, while the downtown shop handles institutional lines.
