Frederick County planners approved commercial rezoning east of relocated Md 75 for Humble Oil while delaying on the west side until a fifth commissioner can vote. Town of New Market opposed the west side rezoning citing residential needs and a proposed motel restaurant or shopping center near a 9.5 acre parcel. The cinder block plant expansion was denied as a separate A-1 to M-1 change after residents urged keeping land developable for housing.
