Gordon Palmer, Retired Banker, Dies Suddenly
Gordon F. Palmer, 69, of Clarke Place, former vice president of Farmers and Mechanics Bank, died Wednesday night at Frederick Memorial Hospital of a heart attack after a 47 year banking career culminating in retirement in 1969. Survived by wife Irene, son Gordon Franklin Palmer Jr., daughter Betty Jane Ratajczak, brother Melvin J. Palmer, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home with viewing hours Friday and tonight.
