Serious crime in Frederick shows 2.7 percent drop first half 1995

Frederick city police report a 2.7 percent decline in serious crime from January through June 1995 versus 1994. Murder fell to one from four. rapes declined to eight from 13 while robberies rose to 59 from 39 and aggravated assaults increased by 11. Thefts, auto thefts and burglary all declined, with Chief Ray Raffensberger praising officers and community focus.
