Wilson warns of military cuts amid inflation and Korea risk
Wilson says talk of shrinking armed forces to three million or less is dangerous and Congress is unlikely to follow. He warns wholesale inflation could cripple a $50 billion defense program but urges safeguards. He asserts Soviet Russia seeks to push the U.S. into self-destruction while Congress debates a new federal controls bill replacing expiring laws. In another item, the Orphans Court approves the final administration account in the Daisy L. Page estate with $416.40 personal property and no residual funds. He adds a note on essential raw materials for the free world, naming potassium, phosphorus, nitrogen.
