Man Sent To Jail For Killing Cat
A 25 year old Frederick man Kenneth E Harding was jailed for five days after killing a cat with a horseshoe. He claimed the horseshoe struck the cat unexpectedly as he pitched near a restaurant on West Seventh street. Harding faced a cruelty to animals charge from Woodrow Mercer and was committed in default of a $10 fine. Other court actions included Edward Pietrzak fined for reckless driving after his car left the roadway on U S 240 and rolled over with minor injuries to a passenger Miss Freda G Kintz. Roy McDonough was acquitted of trespassing after repeatedly warned to stay away from a home.
