Thompson Died Of Heart Attack In Home Fall
Leroy Thompson aged 63 of Frederick died of a heart attack before a 15 foot fall from a second story window Tuesday morning autopsy by Dr. Robert J. Furie at Frederick Memorial Hospital found the coronary thrombosis caused death prior to the fall. Police reported he rolled from a bed about 4 a.m. and plunged to the sidewalk below. Funeral services for Richard Courtney Wiles were held at Gladhill Funeral Home Middletown led by Rev. George Klinefelter with burial in Lutheran Cemetery Middletown. Wiles was the son of the late Courtney and Stella Babington Wiles and survived by a sister Evelyn Crawford.

Aberdeen, SD AP The Fischers, parents of America's quintuplets born nearly 10 months ago, reportedly expect another child around the quint birthday Sept 14. Mrs Fischer told the Aberdeen American News no formal announcement will be made. The family, with six other children, is building a new 20 room home on an 800 acre tract and Fischer plans cattle farming while still at a wholesale grocery firm.

Milk truck overturns on Md 73 injuring driver in Slick morning
Two accidents on rainslick county roads left two injured and about $3,250 in damages. Ronald A. Bunting, 23, of Silver Spring, was admitted to Frederick Memorial Hospital after his Hadley Farms milk truck overturned on Md 73 south of Liberty. He suffered a deep knee laceration and facial and back abrasions after veering off and hitting guard rails. About 9 a.m. a second crash on Yellow Springs Road injured 73-year-old Mrs Mattie Rice, passenger in a car driven by Alva Rice, who ran off the road and into an embankment. Mrs Rice was hospitalized with a possible fracture. the car sustained about $250 damage. Mrs Rice was transported by United Ambulance. The Johnson administration nominated Tyler Thompson to be United States ambassador to Finland.

Ten defendants in a Maryland bank robbery case were sentenced to a total of 234 years in federal prison. Judge Harrison L. Fire at Frederick fairgrounds destroys straw pile
Origin of the blaze at the Frederick Fairgrounds is undetermined. The Independent Hose Company answered the 3:15 a.m. alarm for bedding from a horse stall burning eight feet high. A general alarm followed about 15 minutes later, bringing three more city companies to the scene. The fire was extinguished in two hours with no reported damage.
