City Dam Filling Slowly Amid Reservoir Repairs
Top officials said Frederck's Creek reservoir is about half full and water will be supplied from auxiliary sources for roughly ten weeks longer depending on weather. Repairs cost about 3400 dollars for a near-trol lower section, with a separate footing and foundation contract to follow. An east-side site between Seventh and roads was selected for a test, with Amos Anderson and Edward S. Rice properties involved. Mayor Ramsburg announced the action and noted additional land may be used if needed.

Delay Polio Season Shifts Elective Pediatric Surgeries
Dr Forbes H Burgess Frederick County Health Officer urged postponing tonsil adenoids and other elective nose and throat surgeries for children until after polio season. He cited Dr Perry F Prather and national surveys. Where four anti polio injections exist surgery may proceed if medically advised and no polio in the area. If three injections have been given a fourth should be given before operation with a three week interval after the fourth shot.
