Jury selection opens in Manna murder trial in Frederick
Jury selection began in the murder case of Ralph Manna charged with killing Linda Delauter who answered a knock at her Myersville home. The 9 day trial drew 120 Frederick County residents for potential jurors as pre trial motions debated whether the public defender would continue or be replaced by private counsel. Police say Manna, 59, used a .45 caliber handgun in a spree that wounded Richard Sanchez and wounded two others, with Delauter fatally shot as she opened her door. Delauter was a 53 year old Frederick school bus driver active in church circles.
