Thurmont Today launches a mass gamma globulin inoculation drive to curb hepatitis. A thousand cubic centimeters donated by the Red Cross was flown from Connecticut for use in the county. About 1,200 people are expected to be treated as Dr. Burgess and three Public Health Service epidemiologists lead the effort. Four new cases reported today among Thurmont students and a Libertytown teacher and a Urbana-area student are being investigated for possible contact links.

Washington January 26 The nations aircraft industry will produce 14 500 military airplanes this year more than the totals for 1951 and 1952 combined says Mundy J Peale president of Republic Aviation Corp He told the American Legion Security Commission in a prepared address that the industry will become the nations largest employer of manufacturing workers during the year Peale noted Russia will still out produce the United States in airplanes but the US will lead in quality of aircraft and pilots.

Seek Link Between Murder And Robbery
Kansas City police seek a possible link between the slaying of a young couple and a 49000 bank robbery. James C Fahnestock 21 and his wife Billie 22 were found shot to death in a stolen car. Four suspects including Lois Albert Sturgis 24 and Virginia Iser 21 are being sought. The bank robbery was by four people who forced employees and customers into the vault. School Bus Hit By Auto In Frederick County
A Frederick county school bus escaped injury when a sedan struck it at West Second street and College avenue about 8 45 this morning. Laura M Fringer Towson driver of the pleasure car was charged with passing a stop sign. The bus operated by Roy D Morgan had no damage. Several other weekend accidents were reported with minor damage and no charges in each case.
