PAC money and the 6th District election verdict
In the 6th Congressional District race Del. Thomas Hattery raised about 600000 dollars, more than Dr. Roscoe Bartlett's roughly 200000. Beverly Byron had low primary spending in 1992. Voters chose by qualifications and party, not money, while PACs funded much of the challengers. About 275000 of Hattery’s total came from PACs, many unions, and Bartlett drew 82000 from PACs, many utilities.
