Man dies after one car crash in Knoxville

A 3-year-old Pennsylvania man, Gerald R. Parks, of Hyndman, died from injuries after a one car accident on Knoxville Road about 2 a.m. The vehicle, a 1971 Buick Skylark, ran off the road and hit an embankment, leaving the driver to flee. Mark Butterbaugh, 34, of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, thought to be the driver, was in stable condition at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, awaiting extradition from West Virginia to Frederick County.

The Frederick Board of Aldermen approved a 3-2 rezoning of Dr. Swami Nathan’s one acre farm from M-1 to A-1 to correct a zoning error tied to annexation in 1985. Two Frederick County school workers suspended over rifle on campus

Two school employees were suspended after a hunting rifle was brought onto school grounds in early December.
