Driver charged after fatal Potomac crosswalk crash
In Potomac, Ali Akbar Makwandi 48 of Crown Point Road was charged with failing to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk and negligent driving after his station wagon struck 80 year old Ping Yuh Wang near Falls Road and Oaklyn Drive. The Dec 16 crash killed Wang as she crossed in a marked crosswalk amid poor visibility.
