A group of 20 men from Selective Service Boards 43 and 45 left at 7:15 am for induction in Baltimore. The first Frederick county inductees of 1951 include 15 from Board 46 and 14 from Board 45. Names from boards 45 and 46 are listed. The draft office will also register physicians dentists and veterinarians next Monday from 8 am to 4 pm under S04 year act.

No. 1 Charter Is On Display In Frederick Library
A display at Do. Burr Artz Library features the Number One Charter of the United States Chamber of Commerce from the Frederick Chamber of Commerce. The exhibit, part of the Between the Book Ends club show, includes a Key Hotel mezzanine framing and photographs from the National Affairs Area conference in Frederick on October 26, 1950 and a Chamber sponsored exhibit sent to Binghamton New York last May. Brochures about Frederick complete the display.

Four suits arising from a Christmas Eve 1949 Route 24M accident near Frederick were dismissed without prejudice. Plaintiffs Mary E. Rabbitt Edward M. Bushong Joseph W. Johnson and George N Simcoe claimed damages totaling 45 000 against defendants Charles Fe Tyeryar and Augustus Tyeryar with Johnson later made a third party defendant.
