Purses Found Good Samaritans Save Day in Frederick
Bethesda couple Marci and Richard Shore credit Frederick residents Carol and Neil Levitt with returning a lost purse. The Shore family, shopping near The Craftworks on East Patrick Street, realized the loss after a diaper bag appeared. Levitts found the purse, notified the Shores, and kept it safe, declining a reward. The couple praised the Levitts for their honesty and plan to visit Frederick again to show appreciation.

Man charged with attack on pigs in Maryland
A 40yearold Halethorpe man, Howard Thomas Levy, was charged by Maryland State Police after attacking pigs with a shovel on Carrs Road in Manchester. Trooper Cole fired into the ground to halt the suspect who refused to drop the weapon. Four pigs were injured. Levy faces assault, malicious destruction of property, trespassing and cruelty to animals. He is jailed on $7500 bond.
