Frederick marks 250th anniversary with time capsule burial

Four prominent politicians placed a concrete lid over a time capsule at City Hall to seal Frederick's 250th birthday celebrations. The capsule contains a parade video, patches, a city map, two signed birthday scrolls, and special newspaper issues. About 1,000 residents attended as Mayor Jim Grimes praised the year long festivities and eyed a 2045 reopening.
