Bowie Race Course Bandit Robs Ticket Window for 3430 Cash
A masked bandit held up a ticket seller at Bowie Race Course between races six and seven, escaping with 3330 in cash. The haul included 300 in hundreds, 800 in fifties, 1500 in twenties, 1150 in tens, and 260 in fives and ones, while about 25,002 spectators looked on. Police describe the suspect as a 45 year old, stocky, pale complexioned man in a gray overcoat and gray fedora, who fled before guards could intervene.

South Court Street Collision Involving Henry Wilson
A vehicle on South Court Street collided with another car after being struck in the right rear by Henry Bernard Wilson, 26, of 335 South Market Street. Wilson could not stop his 1935 Ford in time. An officer noted many autos are American-made.
