Archives yield no new info on American POWs in KGB files
Moscow based ITAR-Tass reported that Soviet archives opened by the KGB revealed no new data on American prisoners of war or missing servicemen. Senators Kerry and Smith sought leads on alleged Soviet interrogations during Vietnam and Korea, meeting with a former KGB official. Kalugin’s testimony had previously suggested further Soviet involvement.
