Two Ways To Provide Vocational Education In Frederick County
Two methods for vocational education exist. Regional centers offer a wider course set with better administration but bring bus and schedule issues and class filling challenges. Local high schools struggle to provide diverse, specialized offerings without broad support from principals and advisory groups. Catoctin High School mirrors a typical comprehensive program with Agriculture, Business, Drafting, Auto Mechanics, and Building Trades. Photos by Building Trades instructor Richard Kreh illustrate activities.
