Retired Adamstown Farmer Harry Kanode Dies

Harry B. Kanode longtime Frederick County dairy farmer and former Capitol Milk Producers Association president died Tuesday morning at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born February 18, 1886 in Frederick County, he lived in Adamstown and owned Rosedale Farm before retiring in 1965. He served as Frederick County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee chair for many years.

State School Board Opposes Parochial Aid

The Maryland State Board of Education voted unanimously to oppose state funds for parochial school aid in principle.
