Frederick plans Industrial Development Authority directors named
During a workshop with the Frederick City Board of Aldermen Mayor Jim Grimes announced four of the five directors for a proposed Industrial Development Authority to attract business. The board will include former Mayor Paul Gordon Dan Loftus Mike Menzies and Bert Anderson with a fifth from real estate to be confirmed. The body may be limited to the social services building but can expand. GFDC officials stressed downtown Frederick as a profitable business site and the need to retain and recruit firms while addressing skilled labor shortages and training gaps at the community college.
