Video game task force sought in Maryland hearing

A Maryland Senate panel urged the creation of a task force to study violent and graphic content in video games for children. Proponents want a state rating system and warning labels on cartridges to inform parents. Senator Nancy Murphy backs the bill saying no censorship, just disclosure. The American Academy of Pediatrics supports the measure and urges reporting before the 1995 session. Congress is also weighing warning labels. Some firms like Sega consider voluntary ratings.
