After long study the city approves an eight light pedestrian system for the square and key crossings. The project by W Keegan Traffic Light Co of Havertown Pa costs 8000 dollars with completion aimed by March 1. Mayor Magaha cites safety as the main goal while officials await first assessments.
In Monrovia District Court Carson Gibson was found guilty of littering under a new law and fined 60 dollars. Judge Bennett warned that offenses are punishable by up to 250 dollars and 30 days in jail. The owner of the vehicle may be held responsible for litter from the car, and driver’s licenses can be suspended for seven days.
