Alexander Graham Bell, aged inventor, champions practical aerial navigation and aims to improve flight methods. He planned a tetrahedron craft and conducted elaborate experiments at Baddeck, Nova Scotia with several youthful assistants. The device claims to be a novelty in heavier than air flying machines.
Arthur Trotter, 33, killed his 70 year old mother Mrs Ann Trotter in her West Eighteenth Street apartment by axe and knife during a fit of insanity. He leaped from a second story window as police entered, then surrendered. He claimed the world would end and said he was divinely inspired. He had a recent six month prison term for beating her.
Washington dispatch reports the referee board under Secretary Wilson and President Roosevelt will rule on the use of borates and preservatives in foods.
