Mrs Jack Gardner unveils her Italian Palace in a prestigious Boston district. The exterior belies a lavish interior inspired by Palazzo Barbaro Venice, transported to the U S at vast cost. Mrs Gardner, widow of a Boston millionaire, plans a grand house party for the dedication on Tan 6.
Henry Bautell was arraigned before U S Commissioner Wright after being arrested with a bundle of postage stamps and postal cards. He is charged with offering stamps below their face value and the case was continued a week to determine if the stamps come from a Chicago post office theft. Bautell is held on $1,000 bond.
