The article muses that stars drift far faster than bullets yet appear fixed, while Earth travels straight through space at 39,600 miles per hour, 950,400 miles daily, reaching 346,896,000 miles from January 1 last year. It muses on time as a human clock, compares ancient timekeeping methods, and notes the coming year will move about 50 million miles along its celestial path.
