Air Force medical planning unit to run wartime model at Detrick
Fort Detrick will host WAR MED PSO replacing MWHIO to operate the Wartime Medical Planning System. Lt Col Brickley says the $152 million computerized models simulate medical manpower needs and equipment for any wartime scenario and location. The unit will expand staff to eight, combining computer, logistics, and clinical expertise. Potential joint use across services is noted.
