Playboy executive Kilroy speaks out on integrity in Nashville music
Eddie Kilroy head of Playboy Records country division says labels often lack integrity and accuses industry peers of conflicts of interest. He cites gifts and cash as possible enticements, while defending Playboy as a straight operation with strong chart success and early hours. Jim Foglesong defends others, and Kilroy admires Hugh Hefner's kindness. The interview emphasizes the primacy of a strong song and a singer’s fit.
