Moscow Demands U S Withdraw From Formosa Areas
Moscow declared on radio that Formosa and the Pescadores Islands are Chinese territory and blamed the United States for occupying them. It said only Red China can reunify Formosa with China and protested the U S Nationalist China treaty as a violation of sovereignty and the UN charter. The statement expressed support for Red China and called for U S troops to leave Formosa and nearby islands.
