Joseph B. Orndorff of Frederick posted 1000 bond for appeal after being found guilty of driving under the influence and reckless driving in People’s Night Court. Magistrate H Reese Shoemaker Jr imposed a 150 fine for DUI and 10 for reckless driving. Orndorff testified he reported his car stolen and found near Mt. Olivet Cemetery, then was arrested at Fourth and East streets after claiming varied alcohol consumption. Officers testified consistently on demeanor and condition.

Three Boys And Aged Couple Perish In Fire

Three boys, sons of a patent medicine heir, and an aged couple died when a wind driven blaze destroyed their two story home in Northport Maine. The Grove children Jeffrey 4 David 6 and Christopher 8 perished as flames raced through the house while Edwin Grove III and Mrs Grove were in Boston. Fire officials fought the blaze through a northeast rainstorm, seven hours passed before the first body was recovered. The total loss was unofficially estimated at 30000.

Boys Held After Death Of Druggist

Two 14 year old Queens students were held for Children's Court after allegedly confessing to killing Morris Femmel a 60 year old druggist during an attempted holdup last April 19. Police said the eighth graders from South Jamaica admitted the crime.

10 Percent Of Drivers Cause Most Accidents

Baltimore traffic magistrate Harry Leonard Katz said 10 per cent of drivers cause most automobile accidents. He noted that 90 per cent of the city's drivers are trying to drive safely, attributing the problem to a minority of reckless motorists.
