Extension Of U.S. 340 North Sought From State
A Taneytown delegation asked the State Roads Commission to extend U.S. 340 northeast from Frederick through Taneytown toward York Pennsylvania. The plan would redesign Maryland routes and seek joint state action with Pennsylvania to link to U.S. 30 while meeting federal standards.
