Montgomery County crime down 3.3 percent in third quarter
Police Chief Carol Mehrling reported a 3.3 percent drop in Montgomery County crimes for the third quarter ending in September, with nine murders. Through nine months in 1995 there were 16 homicides versus 19 in 1994, and upcounty Germantown District crime fell over 8 percent for the quarter.
