Maryland judges seek salary raises after four-year pause
Maryland judges urged the Judicial Conference to approve raises up to four percent with phased increases over two years. Chief Judge would gain about $13,000 and district court judges about $16,800, offsetting years without raises and rising caseloads. The compensation commission will forward recommendations to the legislature, which faces tight next year budgets.
