Christmas at Harpers Ferry Brightens Old Tyme Night
Despite a slim budget and a freezing night, crowds gathered Friday December 3 for Old Tyme Christmas in Harpers Ferry West Virginia. St Peter's Catholic Church atop the hill glowed with greenery and lit candles along the historic steps while a living Nativity scene unfolded at the base. Mrs Jack Fish lit the yule log and volunteers in period costumes handed out time messages to merchants as carolers filled the streets. Young Daniel Davis dressed for the occasion added to the festive scene amid the chill.

Dear Abby readers weigh living together before marriage
Dear Abby responds to a letter from a couple aged 2 and 23 choosing to share a two bedroom apartment as preparation for marriage. The columnist cautions that living together, even with separate bedrooms, is not proper preparation and urges honesty with parents and future consequences. A second reader thanks Abby for advice on bedwetting devices, and a third shares a Nose critique, ending with a general prompt to write to Abby for personal replies.
