Hunter Shot by Mistaken Identity While Deer Hunting
Edward Stroble, eighteen, of Loyal sock, was driven to Williamsport hospital in a dying condition after being shot through the groin while deer hunting on nearby mountains. Authorities believe a hunter in a nearby party mistook him for a deer as he moved through undergrowth into open ground. In Reading, George Williams, forty-two, of Phoenixville, died when he grasped a live electric wire while painting a steel lattice at Textile Machine Works. An estimated 13,000 volts surged through his body.
