Bucharest Falls to Teuton Armies
Berlin reports Bucharest the capital of Rumania has fallen to German forces. Plocent, key railway hub thirty six miles northwest, has also been captured. Rumanians defending the capital may have escaped. defense lines in Moldova and near the Danube are now threatened by German artillery. The German campaign shifted from Transylvania to Craiova, rapidly crushing Romanian defense.
