Rossig to resign from planning commission after decade
NEW MARKET Ed Rossig will leave his post as chairman of the town planning commission when his term ends. He cites being tired and wants to devote time to other efforts, notably tourism. He will also leave the historic district board. Jennifer Stein, a current commissioner and Montgomery County budget analyst, was proposed as his successor. The plan passed unanimously to appoint her temporarily until the town council formally acts. The commission also discussed 16 proposed lots along Old New Market Road, with concerns about traffic and a dangerous curve near the site.
