Court upholds $192 million DaimlerChrysler settlement
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court affirmed a Suffolk Superior Court verdict awarding Paul J Santos of Belmont $192 million after a 1986 Plymouth Voyager crash killed his wife and three children. Santos blamed a faulty rear brake design for loss of control. DaimlerChrysler argued driver error and winter conditions.
