Four charged with drug possession in Frederick County
A Frederick County sheriff's deputy stopped an illegally parked car on Bloomfield Road off Opposumtown Pike at 11 p.m. Saturday. Occupants David W. Getzandanner 28 Frederick David F. Whitmore 23 Woodsboro Karen R. Cullop 22 Frederick and Cassandra F. Offutt 22 Walkersville were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Getzandanner's 1990 Pontiac Firebird was seized. Deputy Robert Rauch made the arrest.

A man known as John Doe was found guilty of making a false statement and driving without a license after impersonating Minneapolis attorney Bruce Donald Willis. Ten Arrested In Frederick Fake Crack Sting
Frederick City Police and Hagerstown Narcotics Unit conducted a sting using undercover officers posing as drug dealers. Ten suspects were arrested at Sagner and John Hanson Apartments and Seventh Street area for possession of fake crack and conspiracy as officers seized about $500 cash and three vehicles. One officer injured, Pvt Jerry Morales required stitches after a glass cut. The operation ran 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday with 11 officers involved and multiple pursuits.

Bay Bridge wreck claims life in Maryland crash
A Jefferson woman, Kathleen Mossburg Clevenger, 40, died after a motorcycle crash on the westbound Chesapeake Bay Bridge at 4:10 p.m. She rode as a passenger on her husband William Clevenger’s bike when a neighboring tractor trailer swerved into their lane, toppled the motorcycle, and ran over her. The truck driver Barton Williams, 29, was charged with negligent driving and failure to stay in a single lane. The husband sustained minor injuries.

Richard Hawes Twichell a 67 year old from Antioch Tennessee was killed when his car was rammed from the rear and pushed into another vehicle on southbound route 1.81. Evelyn Twichell 63 and Ronald Lindenbaum 49 were treated at Washington County Hospital and released. Richard Reeder 52 from Mercersburg was unharmed. Lindenbaum was cited for failure to stop.
