Prisoner Langford Found Half Starved While Plotting Escape
Clarence Langford a life term slater hidden eight bays under a tin shop within Stateville Prison was discovered by Warden Elmer Green and two guards after eight days of hunger. Dr Otis M Linthicum Dies in Rockville at 60
Dr Otis M Linthicum aged 60 died suddenly at his Rockville home Monday while preparing to treat himself for suspected indigestion. He leaves a son Dr William A Linthicum of the Hospital for the Women of Maryland in Baltimore and a brother Samuel S Linthicum of Baltimore. His wife Elia Linthicum, a daughter of the late Dr Edward E Stonestreet, died weeks earlier. A University of Maryland graduate, he practiced in Rockville 35 years, served four years as mayor, and was president of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a first cousin of Representative J Charles Linthicum of Baltimore.
