Child hurt after trying electric washing rollers
Mary Catherine Bruchey five year old daughter of Mr and Mrs William Bruchey East Third street sustained wrist bruises Saturday after she followed a urge to feel the rollers in a home washing machine. Her mother turned away briefly and did not see the child poke fingers into the moving machine. X rays at Frederick City Hospital showed no fracture. The girl was taken to the hospital after examination by Dr F Goodell and X rays by Dr EB Thomas. The skin around the wrist was bruised.

Patrol Wagon Hits Garbage Cart On Market Street
Lieutenant George Jacobs of the city police was thrown from his motorcycle when it struck a garbage cart along Market Street between Third and Fourth in rainy conditions. The cart, operated by John Smith, stood midblock without a light. Jacobs sustained a severely bruised left arm and two broken bones, was taken to Frederick City Hospital, and remains on duty until recovery.
